This week with the older kids gone has been a neat time to have more one on one time with Megan. I thought it would be fun to share some pictures of her day today.
Above is Megan enjoying a slice of her Lemon Meringue Pie. At the camp where the older kids are if they memorize a certain amount of scripture then they get a pie or their choice for their own. I told Megan she could have that deal to if she liked. We have all been working on memorizing the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5,6 and 7) but Megan wasn't getting it all that well. So I told her if she could say the Beatitudes all by herself that she could have a pie. She worked at it and she got it memorized and so yesterday we made her pie.
I had wedding flowers to do so Megan helped me. The bridesmaids bouquets are very simple and I let Megan make one.
She also got to make on of the flowergirls' pomanders. (And yes we did fix her hair this morning but by afternoon it had gotten pretty messy!)
She helped me snap beans for canning.
She helped to care for the chickens.
I failed to get a picture of her during the hour or so that she had her nose buried in a book or of the time I read to her and other odds and ends of things that she did throughout the day - but this is a glimpse of her day.
Ken and Megan are going to pick up the other kids tomorrow morning (I need to stay and deliver the flowers) - it will be fun to all be back together again! I am excited to hear about their week at camp!

She is so pretty! I love spending time with my baby girl! I hope one day I will have more kids and see what it's like to have special moments of spending one on one time with each.
