Happy Birthday Jonathan!

Jonathan turned 15 today.

All of our kids are such a blessing to us and Jonathan is no exception. He can be a bit gruff, bossy and grumpy at times but mostly he is a hardworking sweetheart who is developing into a real leader. I can see so much potential in him as he develops his leadership skills and is learning so many practical skills such as carpentry, mechanics, running a sound booth, business experience, music and more.

Right now I am simply very excited to see him feeling quite a bit better as this summer has been a rough one for him healthwise. He has experienced much fatigue, aches and pains, stiffness, trouble eating and so forth. At the emergency room last month they tested for Spinal meningitis and much more and came up with nothing finally this month they tested for Lymes and Anaplasmosis (another tickborne illness) and both of them came back positive. He is now on an antibiotic and is improving. We are so thankful!

  1. Praise God for what He is doing for Jonathan! I send my and my family's happy birthday greetings to him! Our son is also 15. We are so blessed to have boys who love Jesus and doing their utmost to serve Him. I trust God will completely heal Jonathan and allow all of the symptoms to go, in Jesus' name. I was just quoting that verse to God earlier about "thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee". Then I read Hazel's post, and she quoted that very verse in her post! There is amazing power when we decree or speak God's Word, and the enemy has to flee. God bless you and your family!

  2. Oh my goodness! Our family has been praying for his health since you posted that he and Mara had been feeling poorly this summer. We will begin praying for specifically for his health. I am thankful you were led to good medical help so he can recover. Happy #15!
