Here we go again in talking about the Holy Spirit in our lives. I just really enjoy this subject and want to cover it thoroughly and also I just haven't had time to write long posts about it so instead you are getting short little snippets each week.
The Holy Spirit was promised to us:
"Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, from his innermost being will flow rivers of living water." But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believe in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified." John 7:37-39
"Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." Acts 2:38 and 39
Have you received that promise?
