Here we go....
What did I read that caused me to worship God more?
"So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God." John 6:67-69
What a great reminder! I want to worship always at Jesus feet. No where else can I find what I truly need.
What Scripture touched my heart?
"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil." John 3:19
The sadness of this verse is what truly touched me. We are offered light and everything wonderful that comes with that but still so many love darkness instead.
What can I apply to my life?
"Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving along? Then tell her to help me." But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Luke 10:38-42
There are a couple different lessons that I can take away from this and apply to my life:
- Don't get frustrated and upset when it seems like others aren't helping the way they should. Perhaps they are doing more important things like sitting at Jesus feet.
- To always place learning at Jesus feet as first importance. Don't get all distracted by the things in our life that are less important. That doesn't mean we don't prepare meals or clean our house but that Jesus should always be the first priority in our lives and the others stuff needs to go along with having a strong relationship with Jesus Christ - not the other way around.
An interesting fact:
"Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgement." John 5:28 & 29
We will raise again someday and face a judgement. It is very important that we be ready!

I enjoyed reading what you have shared. Thank you for sharing this. I did read daily last week and I am still in Psalms (the book I am studying on) and Psalm 51 really spoke to me as well as Psalm 57:7, "My heart is fixed, O God, me heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise."
Years ago I was at a woman's retreat and got up early to pray and read in the bathroom because the other ladies in our room were sleeping. I felt impressed this verse and I didn't recall it in memory and when I read it the Word spoke to me. This was my heart cry at this time and I was praying for to have a heart for him. I desired to be a woman after God's own heart. To be honest my life has turned and derailed several times since this conference but one thing is true I still have a desire and try to keep my heart fixed.
I wrote Sunday on Mary and Martha on my blog and I also need to remember not to get frustrated when others aren't doing what they should.
