I am struggling a little to know how to share the thoughts that I have had this week on how to build up marriages but I will give it my best shot. :-)
Something that I have found to keep the spark alive for us is just simple things like catching his eye across the room, and then sharing a special smile that is just for him. When I write it out it sounds kind of dumb but I have found it something that makes him realize that even if we are with a crowd of people or if we are doing our own thing (working on separate projects) I can still be thinking about him.
I think eye contact and facial expressions can communicate a lot and I encourage you to make sure you pay attention to your husband, that you give him eye contact so that you can communicate your love and respect to him in that way.
Now don't start staring at him in someway that he will think you have lost your marbles but rather in a way that makes him realize that you think he is hot or just that you are thinking about him.
I hope that make sense..... :-)

Yes, I understand and agree. We have code words that we can say to one another in a crowd or with little ears around.
ha ha I love that you said don't start looking at him in a way that he thinks you lost your marbles.... that is so funny! I could see my self acting all weird and cracking him up! Thanks for sharing...
I don't comment often, but read here a lot. Just wanted to say you explained it very well. It is also SOOOO important, especially with a house full of littles to get permanently in mommy mode and forget to be a WIFE. so that look, even if you are elbow deep in mommy-ing, lets him know that in fact, you have not forgotten him. When that smile is returned, of if he gives me that look first...makes me feel so special and wanted in the midst of the mommy-ing...it's a gift.
