"Andi Unexpected" by Amanda Flower {A Review}

 Not long ago I had fun reading the book "Andi Unexpected" by Amanda Flower. It is a juvenile fiction; however, I had agreed to review it, and I found it pretty fun. Some of my kids read it after me, and they have also enjoyed it.

The book is a fictional story about Andora (known as "Andi") Boggs. She and her older sister Bethany, with whom she didn't get along very well, went to live in a small Ohio town with their unique Aunt Amelie after their parents' death.

Andi gets to know a neighbor boy, Colin Carter, and soon they turn up a mystery to work on together. Andi, when cleaning out the attic to make turn it into her own room, uncovers a trunk which has her own name on it but obviously is from many, many years ago. Who is this Andora Boggs?

You might just need to read the book to find out!

I thought this was a fine book for kids. Some of the benefits that I saw in it were:
  • Learning a little about Depression Era history.
  • Lessons on respecting others.
  • Lessons on caring about others.
  • Learning more about how a museum works.
  • Good clean fun.
Since I have kids who love to read, it is always nice to find another book that I think it worth keeping on our shelves. Good books can seem a little rare in Juvenile Fiction so finding one that is decent is great.

I would love to hear about your favorite books for the Juvenile age group. We are always looking for ideas!
