I was thinking I had shared this before on my blog but I can't find it so I will share it now. :-)
I had been collecting a lot of olive oil jars (that basically the only liquid oil that I buy) and wanted to find a good use for them. So I decided to use some of the leftover chalkboard paint that I had from painting our door and paint some of the bottles.
Then I wrapped some twine around the top (and some ribbon also on these two) and they were ready to use.
One bride wanted a couple for decoration at her wedding. We filled them with flowers and but their last initial on the bottle. I think they look cute and it is a fun way to use up some of my bottles.
I might make more soon and try to sell them on Etsy as I have a good collection of olive oil bottles again. Or does anybody have other good ideas for using old olive oil jars?

So pretty. I use them for homemade salad dressings. Also I'm saving some to make vanilla and peppermint extracts. :)
Thank you! I have been wanting to make extracts too. These would work well for that - it would be a big batch though. :-) I use them to store homemade vinegar in as well.
