Handmade Mittens Giveaway

Good morning! How are you doing today?

I thought it would be fun to participate in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway day today. That just means that I am holding a giveaway on my blog of a handmade item and then I will link it up over at Sew Mama Sew along with a whole bunch of other giveaways that other bloggers are hosting.

I have decided to give away a pair of handmade Mittens. The winner will get to choose from either a pair for a girl child (will probably best fit a 5-10 year old)
or a Boy child (again 5-10 year old). Both of these pairs of mittens are made with a wool outer layer and fleece lining.

Or you may choose a pair of ladies mittens. These are made with wool outer and inner layers.
Giveaway Day So which mittens would you choose? Please leave a comment telling me something you enjoy doing in the snow (or wearing mittens) - also be sure to tell me which mittens you would want if you win and leave me an e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win.

This giveaway will end on December 7th at 5 pm. Anyone may try to win.

If you are visiting my blog for the first time from Sew Mama Sew I would love it if you would take the time to look around. I am a christian homeschooling Mama who loves to makes things and be creative. This year I have been making a different kind of rag rug each month and right now I have a Handmade Christmas Series going on every Tuesday.

WE HAVE A WINNER! CONGRATULATIONS TO JULIE (COMMENT #18)

I actually enjoy shoveling snow. Odd, I know. And caroling is an enjoyed cold night activity, too.
I like all of the mittens, but I think I would choose the ladies' pair because the kids' would not fit my children for long.

I would choose the little girl mittens for my eight year old daughter.

I love helping our children build snowmen. Next time it snows we have plans to build an upside down snowman.

I have a 8 year old son and the boy ones would be my choice for him. I love to play in the snow with him. He has gotten to that stage that snow ball fights are his thing. We had only one short snow storm here in utah so far this year waiting for the next one and sadly only got rain yesterday, where is my white christmas.

I love the ladies mittens and would probably choose those.

My favourite thing to do in the snow(and I don't get much) is to play with my kids. Snowball fights and snowman making is common :)

Thanks for the giveaway.

Abbi,

Hello! Since I do not have any children, or young nephews, I would choose the ladies mittens for my elderly mom. She lives with and I care for her. I know her hands get so cold and hurt with arthritis and these would help to keep her warm and comfy.

I still enjoy making snow angels, I know it may seem silly for a 45 year old, but it still makesme smile!

Thank you for the chance to win and also for the opportunity to get to know you and your lovely blog!

Merry Christmas!

I would pick the ladies mittens. I'm not much of a cold weather person so the best thing for me to do in the snow is to come in out of it and drink hot chocolate!!! Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh this is hard to choose. Dd could use some new mittens, but I'd hate to see her lose as nice of mittens as these so I'd choose the ladies mittens. (selfish mom alert!) The kids and I love a good snowball fight but I really love a nice pair of mittens when I have to start a freezing cold car in the early morning. Thanks for the giveaway! jenniferkg(at)me(dot)com

I would choose the boy mittens and send them to my nephew in Oklahoma, where it actually snows! I am in Austin Texas, but grew up in Indiana, we loved to have a good, old-fashioned snow ball fight.

As adorable as the girl and boy mittens are, unfortunately my girls are a bit too old for them, even though the suit them to a T!

I love the women's mitts though.

What do I like to do in the snow? Well, we live in the frozen north so I better like snow LOL! Every day at lunch, my work buddy and I go for a walk along the Yukon River. You just need that fresh air after being cooped up all day in an office.

Thanks for the chance!

Hello! I prefer mittens as they keep my hands warmer. I also have a daughter that fit the size range you made these for, but instead we will be giving these to a girl in foster care. I think she will love getting something handmade.
I hope that is okay.
My favorite thing to do while wearing mittens is go shopping! LOL
