A summer skirt for Mara

This skirt was one of my summer projects for Mara. I made it using an old pair of red (with white paisleys) stretch pants and a white knit shirt.
I cut out 2 strips from each of the legs (front and back) that weren't quite straight, one end was a little wider than the other end. I also cut out 4 triangles from the white shirt. I put the wider end of each strip at the top and then attached one triangle to the bottom of each strip, then I sewed all the strips together.
It ended up working out quite well and turned into a nice comfortable skirt for Mara that she can wear to church or up to work on the tree fort. :-) It was also very quick and easy to make so that was a blessing! (I love fast projects!)
What projects have you been working on lately?
