A raggedy scarf

I have been working on a rag rug lately using up my old curtains from my living and dining rooms. To make the strips I like to tear them instead of cutting. It is much faster and fun too. Anyway.... while I was tearing them I was looking at the strips and I thought they looked kind of cool....What if I made them into a scarf?

So I took around 5 of the strips and knotted them together on  both ends and "Tada! A scarf! "

I think it is kind of cool looking but it is also very raggedy looking and I am a little uncertain about it. So before I really wear it out in public I want your opinion! Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings by saying it is really weird. I am looking for honest opinions so I won't make a dreadful mistake (sarcasm here) of wearing something totally horrid out in public.
So what do you think? Is it neat or just weird? Would you wear it?
I am linking this up to Tea Rose Home.

I think it suits your style, but I don't think it suits everyone's style. (Although all clothes and accessories are like that). I think it looks good in the first photo but kind of wierd in the second photo.

I think that I would wear it if I wore it like the first photo.

I think that if YOU feel comfortable wearing it in public and like it then you should. If you don't feel comfortable in it then that will be reflected in how you look and then people might not think it looks good simply because your face will show being uncomfortable. I hope that makes sense. If you look confident it makes things look better.

You asked for honest opinions...there you have it! :)

Go for it. We notice the "imperfections" of our outfit more than any one looking at us. I think the organic look of scarfs is really trendy now.

I think it looks nice on you. It really doesn't look raggedy in the picture. I don't wear scarves so I wouldn't wear it. You are so resourceful for making things from throw-away things. I enjoy your blog.
God bless, Kathy in Illinois

I love it! It is a keeper and looks just right for you. My daughter made me a little rag rug for Christmas and it is so cute. I love being able to use something old to make something new. Please post a picture of your rug when you are done!

You are so resourceful. I like how you are wearing the scarf in the first picture. I think things like this are popular right now. Go for it. You should link this up to Fix It Up Friday.

I'm stopping over from Blessings overflowing... I really like how the scarf is wrapped in the second picture...Imagine the possibilities with various colors and textures of fabric for chic summer accessories. Rock it!
