"We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives
for the brethren. But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes
his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love
with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth" 1 John 3:16-18
We have a God who didn't just say He loves us- He showed us. The Father was willing to send Jesus down here to teach us and then die for our sins. Jesus was willing to go through horrible suffering for us- because He loves us!
What should our response to that be?
Our love shouldn't simply be something that is said either. We need to act on it. Jesus loved everybody. We need to follow in his steps on that as well. Whoever needs our help- we should show our love and help them. I hope I can learn to be more like Jesus in this area!
