Humility, Gentleness and Patience

Pussy willows have been out for a week or so- quite early for here. Beautiful!
"Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:1-3

This passage is in Paul's letter to the Ephesians. As he sat in prison something that he thought was important to remind the Christians was the importance of walking with humility, gentleness, patience, love for each other and unity in the Spirit. My "guess" is that it is probably important for us today as well.

These are some traits that I want to work on in my life. This verse inspires me- I hope it will you as well.

Three weeks ago we went to visit my grandmother (also here in Pennsylvania). She mentioned that the pussy willows are budding and her son had to cut it down to make room for a better fence. So here is your last chance to get a bouquet, help yourself, even though it is Sunday. So I did, getting extra to start some bushes of my own. The best 7 branches I dry-vased so they stay that way, the rest I put in water to grow roots & leaves. Now most of those have roots already and some are potted. I saved a heritage/memory from going down the drain. I don't know of anyone else who got some starts from grndmother's bush, so I feel privelidged. My grandmother & I usually kept an early eye out for those pussy-willows which were so early, they almost got missed. Memories live on...
