Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had time to thank God for all the good things in your life.
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful song. Know that the Lord is God; It is He who made us, and we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise his name. For He is good. His love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations." Psalm 100

We had a great day. I got to get up at 6 am to put the Turkey in. It was cool because I had a couple hours of quiet time before anybody else woke up. This morning I also made that bouquet of yellow roses out of coffee filters. It was a lot of fun. For how to make these roses go here. We went out to Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lot of fun. It was a pretty international meal with 11 people from other countries eating with us. After the meal we had a lot of fun putting together a puzzle of the world.

We learned quite a bit about geography. Here is the finished product.

Megan got a little worn out from the days activities. And fell asleep on Mom and Dad's floor.

Hi Abbi! Your roses look beautiful! I tried making them the other day, let's just say mine weren't so pretty.

Abbi, Where did your parents find such a puzzle? It looks more detailed than some I've seen. I'd love to have our family work on one like that!

Thanks for the comments!
Christy, The puzzle came from CBD. I think it was in their homeschool catolog. It was a really fun one with 600 pieces. It had tons of little pictures on it that generally went along with the area they were in. It has a lot of big cities named and a bunch of rivers are named. I learned most about Russia and Western Europe and the oceans as that was where I mainly worked.
